Outcrop Silver Expands Discovery Portfolio with Morena Vein Results

Santa Ana project delivers sixth new mineralized shoot since April 2024, supporting upcoming resource update with mixed drill results

  • Sixth discovery: Morena vein represents the latest mineralized shoot identified at Santa Ana since current drilling programme commenced in April 2024
  • Notable intercept grades: Best results include 1.87 metres at 680 g/t silver and 1.52 g/t gold, with higher-grade zones reaching 1,877 g/t silver equivalent
  • Mineralized footprint: Drilling confirms mineralization across approximately 400 metres along strike and nearly 300 metres down dip
  • Resource expansion: New discoveries at Morena, Aguilar, Jimenez, Guadual, La Ye, and Los Mangos strengthen foundation for upcoming resource update
  • Systematic exploration success: Disciplined approach using soil geochemistry and trenching validates geological models

Outcrop Silver & Gold Corporation (TSXV:OCG, OTCQX:OCGSF, DE:MRG) is a leading silver explorer and developer focused on advancing its flagship Santa Ana high-grade silver project in Colombia. The company leverages decades of regional experience through its seasoned professional team to expand mineral resources through strategic exploration initiatives.

The 100% owned Santa Ana project spans 27,000 hectares within the Mariquita District and represents Colombia's largest and highest-grade primary silver district with mining records dating back to 1585. The project's maiden resource estimate, detailed in a June 2023 NI 43-101 Technical Report, indicates an estimated indicated resource of 1,226 thousand tonnes containing 24.2 million ounces silver equivalent at 614 grams per tonne, plus an inferred resource of 966 thousand tonnes containing 13.5 million ounces at 435 grams per tonne silver equivalent. These resources span seven major vein systems including Santa Ana, La Porfia, El Dorado, Paraiso, Las Maras, Los Naranjos, and La Isabela.

New Discovery at Morena Vein

The Morena discovery emerged from regional exploration targeting the La Ye corridor. Initial soil geochemistry and subsequent trenching in late 2024 revealed a structural corridor, with surface sampling returning silver assays reaching 795 g/t and 5.88 g/t gold. Trenching confirmed the Morena vein's presence before drilling commenced.

The Morena vein trends 220 to 230 degrees with dips between 45 and 75 degrees, hosted within green schists. This geological setting aligns with productive mineralization patterns observed throughout the Santa Ana district. The subsequent 2,905-metre drilling campaign tested the discovery across a mineralized footprint.

The discovery adds to the extensive mineralized trend at Santa Ana, where systematic exploration continues to identify new zones across multiple vein systems. Morena's geological characteristics demonstrate continuity within the district's established structural framework.

Drill Highlights

Hole DH471 delivered the programme's standout intercept with 1.87 metres grading 680 g/t silver and 1.52 g/t gold, equivalent to 794 g/t silver equivalent. Within this intersection, a zone of 0.55 metres returned 1,877 g/t silver and 4.26 g/t gold, representing 2,197 g/t silver equivalent.

DH467 contributed additional results with 2.29 metres at 233 g/t silver and 0.37 g/t gold, totalling 261 g/t silver equivalent. A narrower zone within this intercept yielded 0.35 metres at 873 g/t silver and 0.80 g/t gold, equivalent to 933 g/t silver equivalent.

The drilling programme established a mineralized footprint with dimensions for resource definition. Multiple drill holes intersected the Morena vein structure, though several returned results below the 200 g/t silver equivalent threshold that defines significant mineralisation for the project.

These results demonstrate the presence of discrete shoots within the broader vein structure, consistent with typical vein-hosted epithermal deposits where mineralisation occurs in concentrated zones rather than continuous low-grade intervals.

Exploration Momentum & Strategic Approach

Outcrop Silver has built its discovery pipeline systematically since April 2024, with Morena joining five other new mineralized shoots identified during the current campaign. The Aguilar, Jimenez, Guadual, La Ye, and Los Mangos discoveries collectively represent additions to the project's resource base ahead of the upcoming mineral resource update.

The company's exploration strategy combines regional geological understanding with modern techniques, beginning with soil geochemistry surveys that identify anomalous precious metal concentrations. The team applies structural models developed through experience in Colombian epithermal silver systems to guide target selection and drill hole positioning.

Vice President of Exploration Guillermo Hernandez commented:

"This discovery is the result of disciplined exploration, following geochemical anomalies, applying strong geological models, and validating our interpretations with drilling. The discovery at Morena reinforces our growth strategy and highlights the scale of opportunity still to be realised across the Santa Ana project."

Quality assurance protocols ensure reliable analytical results through certified laboratory facilities and systematic insertion of control samples. Outcrop Silver utilises ActLabs' accredited facilities in Medellín, Colombia, with follow-up multi-elemental analysis conducted at their Canadian laboratory in Ancaster, Ontario.

Conclusion

Outcrop Silver's discovery of the Morena vein continues execution of its systematic exploration strategy at Santa Ana, bringing the total of new shoots to six since April 2024. The drilling results demonstrate mineralization across substantial dimensions, contributing to the project's resource expansion. With multiple new discoveries feeding into an upcoming mineral resource update, Outcrop Silver maintains momentum toward establishing Santa Ana as a significant silver production centre. The company's technical approach and geological models support continued exploration success across the project's mineralized systems, with further drilling programmes planned to extend known zones and test additional targets.
