Magna Mining Reports High-Grade Copper Results from McCreedy West Underground Drilling

Magna Mining reports 17.9% copper and 28.1 g/t precious metals over 1.8 metres from footwall drilling at McCreedy West mine operations
- Underground drilling returned 17.9% copper, 0.6% nickel and 28.1 g/t platinum, palladium and gold over 1.8 metres within 150 metres of surface
- Additional intersection yielded 10.5% copper, 8.3% nickel and 42.6 g/t precious metals over 0.3 metres in the 700 Zone footwall
- Results support production planning for narrow vein mining methods in high-grade copper-precious metal zones
- Two-drill programme continues definition and expansion work in the 700 Zone with western expansion drilling planned
- Development work on 930 Level progresses to enable drilling access to previously inaccessible western targets
Magna Mining Inc. (TSXV: NICU) is a producing mining company with copper, nickel and platinum group metal projects in the Sudbury Region of Ontario, Canada. The company's assets include the producing McCreedy West copper mine and the past producing Levack, Crean Hill, Podolsky, and Shakespeare mines.
The company maintains operations in the Sudbury basin, utilising established regional infrastructure for its mining activities. Magna Mining combines active production at McCreedy West with ongoing exploration programmes across its property portfolio in the established mining district.
High-Grade Drill Intercepts Near Surface
Recent drilling at McCreedy West has returned copper and precious metal intersections from the 700 Zone footwall area. The drilling programme intercepted 17.9% copper with 28.1 grams per tonne of platinum, palladium and gold over 1.8 metres at 150 metres depth from surface. Additional results include 10.5% copper with 42.6 g/t precious metals over 0.3 metres from a separate intersection.
The mineralisation occurs within massive sulphide veins located in the footwall zone of the 700 area. The shallow depth of 150 metres from surface reduces potential extraction costs compared to deeper mining operations. Multiple drill holes have returned copper grades above 10% with associated precious metal values across various intersection widths.
The drilling has identified precious metal concentrations in association with copper mineralisation throughout the target area. Mynyr Hoxha, VP Mines Geology, stated that "These narrow, massive sulphide veins, containing platinum, palladium and gold, found along the footwall of the 700 Zone can be incorporated into our mine plan and provide an opportunity for selective mining of high margin ore in 2026."
Mine Planning Applications
The drill results support the company's assessment of narrow vein mining methods for the footwall mineralisation. The intersections occur in proximity to existing underground infrastructure, reducing development requirements for potential extraction. Magna Mining has indicated plans to incorporate these zones into mine planning for production activities during 2026.
The 700 Zone footwall drilling provides geological data for stope design and production grade planning. Current underground access development on the western side of the zone will establish drilling platforms for previously inaccessible targets. The company expects to commence drilling on the western side of the 700 Zone later this year following completion of 930 Level development work.
Technical evaluation of the drilling data will inform development heading locations and stope design parameters. The narrow vein characteristics of the mineralisation align with selective mining approaches that target specific high-grade zones. Mine planning integration depends on continued drilling results and geological modelling of the footwall zone extent.
Ongoing Drilling Programme
Magna Mining operates two underground drill rigs at McCreedy West focused on the 700 Zone. One drill conducts infill drilling to support production planning, whilst the second targets definition and expansion drilling in areas outside the current mine plan. The drilling programme provides geological information for both near-term production and exploration activities.
Initial drilling on the 590 Level targets high-grade mineralisation within the 700 Zone footwall. The programme has intersected massive sulphide veins with precious metal grades up to 42.6 g/t over 0.3 metres and 28.1 g/t over 1.8 metres in separate drill holes. Precious metal grades appear to increase with distance into the footwall from the contact zone.
The western margin of the 700 Zone remains under-explored and represents a drilling target for the company. Development work progresses on the 930 Level to establish new drill platforms for western zone access. The western expansion drilling may test connectivity with the adjacent Hardy/Boundary deposit area, which previously produced copper and nickel.
Summary
The drill results from McCreedy West's 700 Zone footwall have identified narrow vein mineralisation suitable for selective mining methods. Key milestones include completion of 930 Level development work and commencement of western zone drilling later this year. The company will integrate geological data from ongoing drilling into detailed stope designs and mine planning for 2026 production. Next steps focus on testing western expansion targets that may connect with the adjacent Hardy/Boundary deposit area whilst continuing infill drilling to support near-term production planning.
