Power Metallic Reports 11.97% Copper Intercept and 600% Land Expansion

Company releases summer drill results from Lion Zone, completes land assembly increasing holdings to 313 square kilometres, and outlines fall/winter drilling plans.

  • Drill hole 25-022 intersected 5.35 metres grading 11.97% copper (16.35% copper equivalent) within the Lion Zone.
  • Land holdings increased from 46 square kilometres to 313 square kilometres, representing a 600% expansion.
  • Hydro Quebec exclusion lands were opened for staking and secured in September, covering the fold hinge area between Lion and Nisk deposits.
  • Borehole electromagnetic surveys identified an anomaly at Tiger Deep, described as one of the largest electromagnetic panels on the property.
  • Fall/winter drilling targets include the Tiger Deep anomaly, fold hinge zone, and re-entry of hole PN-24-064 to extend it 250 metres.

Power Metallic Mines Inc. (TSXV: PNPN) is a Canadian exploration company focused on the Nisk Project Area, a polymetallic system containing copper, platinum group elements, nickel, gold, and silver. The company holds an option to earn up to 80% of the Nisk project from Critical Elements Lithium, acquired in February 2021. Following the June 2025 purchase of 313 claims from Li-FT Power, the company now controls approximately 213 square kilometres. Power Metallic also holds a 50% ownership in Chilean Metals Inc. and owns 100% of the Jabul Baudan exploration licence in Saudi Arabia.

High-Grade Drill Results from Lion Zone Infill and Extension Drilling Programme

The summer drilling programme focused on extending the Lion Zone down-plunge and infilling the deposit for an Indicated Resource classification. Hole PML-25-022 intersected 6.85 metres grading 13.15% copper equivalent, including 5.35 metres at 16.35% copper equivalent. The same hole returned 5.90 metres at 10.43% copper equivalent within 27.50 metres at 2.75% copper equivalent.

The infill drilling confirmed the modelled size, grade, and orientation of the deposit.

CEO Terry Lynch stated that

"any hole delivering over 50 metre per cent scores is an extremely lucrative hole."

The drilling provided data for resource modelling across the hanging wall, high-grade core, and footwall portions. Extension drilling faced technical challenges with helicopter-supported drills, resulting in lost holes. Hole PML-25-017 intersected 7.00 metres grading 1.41% copper equivalent, confirming the Lion structure continues westward. The company plans to use skid-mounted drills for future deep drilling.

Land Assembly Activities and Hydro Quebec Ground Acquisition Expanding Property by 600%

The Lion Zone discovery indicated that the Lion and Nisk deposits are parts of a remobilised polymetallic nickel-copper system. The company increased its land package from 46 square kilometres to 313 square kilometres, focusing on basin edges near known mineralisation, including the Li-FT ground acquired in June.

The Hydro Quebec ground, previously under exclusion for surface leases, was opened for staking through work with the James Bay Cree and government approval. Completed in September, this acquisition covers the fold axis between Lion and Nisk deposits, including the north limb previously too close to the property boundary for exploration. The fold hinge represents a setting where mineralisation could thicken, similar to the Thompson nickel deposit.

Borehole electromagnetic surveys identified anomalies in holes PN-24-064, PML-25-030, and PML-25-021 that may indicate a mineralised body at the fold structure. The anomaly in hole PN-24-064 showed over 100 metres of build-up but lacked sufficient length for full definition. Re-entry is underway to extend the hole 250 metres.

Fall and Winter Drilling Programme Plans Including Tiger Deep Target and BHEM Anomaly Follow-Up

The autumn and winter drilling targets areas identified through recent exploration. The Tiger Deep target includes an anomaly from hole PML-25-030's BHEM survey, described as one of the largest electromagnetic panels on the property. The location corresponds with a reinterpreted Deep Tiger target, where the shallow Tiger zone may consist of massive sulphide blocks carried upward from a deeper source.

Three holes were drilled between the Lion and Tiger zones, where previous shallow drilling returned intercepts exceeding 2% nickel with over 5% copper equivalent. Hole PML-25-021 intersected 3.70 metres at 1.48% copper equivalent and identified an off-hole anomaly separate from Lion. Drilling of the Tiger Deep BHEM anomaly is currently underway.

The Hydro Quebec ground provides access to targets between Lion and Nisk. Drill permits have been secured for these areas. The programme includes re-entry of hole PN-24-064, follow-up on BHEM anomalies, and continued infill drilling at Lion Zone toward an Indicated Resource estimate.

Looking Ahead

Immediate work includes drilling the Tiger Deep BHEM anomaly, extending hole PN-24-064 to test the fold hinge target, and following up on electromagnetic conductors between Lion and Tiger. Infill drilling at Lion Zone continues toward an Indicated Resource estimate, whilst extension drilling tests mineralisation beyond current boundaries.
