Empire Metals Uncovers Large High-Grade Titanium System, Continues Copper Hunt

Empire Metals makes a major high-grade titanium discovery in initial drilling at its Pitfield project in WA, but systematic exploration continues to unlock the large copper potential across its extensive land holdings.
- Empire Metals discovered a large, high-grade titanium mineral system at their Pitfield project near Perth, Australia. The discovery was a surprise as they were originally exploring for copper.
- The titanium discovery is very significant - consistently high grade starting near surface, with strong market demand and potential. Diagnostic work over next 6 months to determine mineral species and extraction potential.
- Copper was also enriched throughout the sedimentary system drilled. While not high grade, indicates a large amount of copper in the overall system. Next steps are to use geophysics and sampling to pinpoint where copper concentrated.
- Additional funds were raised earlier this year, allowing for more exploration and drilling over next 6-12 months without immediate need to raise additional capital. Goal is to systematically find the concentrated copper.
- Managing Director Sean Gregory is confident in the potential for multiple deposits in the large mineral system, but finding the copper will take systematic exploration and drilling over the next 1-2 years.
About Empire Metals
Empire Metals is an Australian-focused minerals exploration company listed on the London Stock Exchange. The company is focused on exploring for "giant" mineral deposits in Western Australia, particularly copper and titanium. Empire Metals holds a large, highly prospective land package covering over 300 square kilometers in the Doolgunna region, 200km north of Perth. This area is known to host significant copper and gold deposits. Empire Metals is led by managing director Sean Gregory, who has extensive experience in minerals exploration and development.

Initial Drilling Discovers Large High-Grade Titanium System
Empire's initial drilling at its Pitfield project, located within its Doolgunna land holdings, led to an unexpected but significant discovery - a very large high-grade titanium mineral system. Of the 21 holes drilled, 20 hit high grade titanium mineralization, with over 50% titanium in assay samples. The drilling confirmed the presence of titanium minerals over a very extensive area, with mineralization starting near surface and holes often ending in high-grade material at 150m depth.
While not the copper deposits the company was originally targeting, this titanium discovery has major market potential. Titanium is a critical metal used heavily in aerospace and defense applications. The high grades and sheer scale of the titanium mineralization point to a potentially very substantial deposit. Further studies are underway to assess the titanium mineral species present and develop plans to advance this deposit.
Copper Potential Remains
Importantly, the drilling results also showed that the geological system at Pitfield is still highly enriched with copper, with average grades of 130ppm copper up to highs of 600ppm. While not economic grades, this points to a huge amount of copper metal in the system that came in with the same mineralizing fluids that deposited the titanium.
The key for Empire will be to pinpoint where the copper was concentrated and trapped as economic deposits. As managing director Sean Gregory explains, the copper likely penetrated the geological structures and faults in the system after the initial titanium mineralization phase. Following up with geophysical surveys, soil sampling, and structural modeling will be key to targeting the most prospective traps and faults for copper concentration.
Systematic Copper Exploration Planned
With A$1.25 million raised recently, Empire has funding for several more phases of exploration to systematically advance its copper targets. Gravity surveys will better map the faults and structures that copper fluids would have used. Deeper soil sampling and seismic imaging will look for copper deposits lurking under shallow cover. High priority copper targets can then be drill tested.
While the titanium discovery provides a significant secondary opportunity, Empire remains committed to exploring its large tenure for the copper potential that initially attracted the company. Utilizing its funding judiciously and applying systematic exploration techniques, Empire aims to make the next copper discovery within this extensive mineral system.
Conclusion
With a large prospective land package, initial drilling validating the presence of major mineralization and plenty of targets yet to be tested, Empire Metals offers investors exposure to exploration upside in a proven mineral region. The high-grade titanium discovery also provides a potential value boost and revenue stream in addition to the large copper prize the company continues to pursue. With funding secured for further work, investors can expect a steady flow of ongoing exploration news and results for the company's projects.
