Aurion Resources Expands Gold Mineralization to 1.4 km at Risti Property

• Gold mineralized system extended 300 metres westward to 1.4 kilometres along strike at Vanha prospect
• Seven drill holes returned intersections including 2.85 g/t Au over 4.8 metres and 1.07 g/t Au over 9.2 metres
• System extends to 250 metres depth and remains open along strike and at depth
• Three of six scout holes intersected gold mineralization in western part of property
• Metallurgical testing achieved gold recoveries above 93.6% using standard processing methods

Aurion Resources Ltd. (TSX-V: AU) (OTCQX: AIRRF) is a Canadian exploration company focused on precious metals exploration opportunities. The company generates or acquires early-stage projects and advances them through direct exploration or business partnerships and joint venture arrangements. Aurion's current activities include exploring its Risti project and advancing joint venture properties with B2Gold Corp., Kinross Gold and KoBold Metals in Finland.

Strike Extension and Mineralized System Growth

Seven holes totalling 1,380.8 metres were drilled at the Vanha prospect in the Kaaresselkä area. All holes intersected zones of strongly deformed and hydrothermally altered rocks associated with gold mineralization. The drilling targeted interpreted structural features to identify and extend the gold mineralized system.

Results extended the mineralized system 300 metres westward along the Vanha trend. Key intersections include hole KS25110 with 2.85 g/t Au over 4.8 metres from 70.5 metres depth and 1.68 g/t Au over 8.1 metres from 155.1 metres. Hole KS25116 returned 1.07 g/t Au over 9.2 metres from 75.6 metres and 1.20 g/t Au over 10.85 metres from 109.65 metres.

The gold mineralized system at Vanha now extends over 1,400 metres along strike and to at least 250 metres depth. The mineralization remains open along strike and at depth. CEO Matti Talikka stated that "the Vanha mineralized system is growing impressively" and noted ongoing drilling is testing for further higher-grade mineralization and strike extensions.

Regional Exploration and Scout Drilling

Six scout holes were drilled 6.4 to 8 kilometres west-northwest of Vanha targeting geochemical anomalies and geophysical features. Three of the six holes returned intervals with elevated gold values above 0.1 g/t. Hole LT25003 intersected 0.52 g/t Au over 4.25 metres from 17.5 metres in albitized gabbro.

Hole LT25005 intersected felsic intrusives with quartz-carbonate veining and sulphide mineralization, returning 0.89 g/t Au and 1.55% Cu over 0.4 metres from 107.6 metres and 0.62 g/t Au over 1 metre from 111 metres. Hole LT25006 intersected 1.08 g/t Au over 0.3 metres from 16.8 metres in saprolitized sandstone.

Heavy mineral sampling from 29 test pits in the western part of the property returned gold grain counts ranging from 7 to 213 grains. Five samples contained 100 or more gold grains and eleven samples had 50 or more grains. The company reports that observed gold grains are mostly angular or subangular, indicating local or nearby sources.

Geological Setting and Processing Characteristics

Gold mineralization at Vanha is hosted by highly deformed and altered mafic volcanic and metasedimentary rocks with sulphide minerals including pyrite, pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite, galena, sphalerite and arsenopyrite. Higher-grade intervals are hosted within silicified and brecciated zones with moderate amounts of sulphide minerals. Several holes encountered elevated levels of base metals and platinum-palladium.

Mineralogical and metallurgical test work on two samples from Vanha demonstrated recoveries above 93.6% from bottle roll leaching tests. The company states this confirms predominantly free-milling gold and amenability to industry standard processing methods. The results were reported in a June 3, 2025 press release.

The geological setting and mineralization style at Kaaresselkä resembles discoveries including Helmi (16 km from Vanha), Ikkari (14 km from Vanha), and the past producing Saattopora mine. The Kaaresselkä area is located 15 km southeast of the Vuoma discovery along a structural corridor extending over 25 km within Aurion's properties.

Next Steps

Aurion reports that drilling continues targeting potential extensions of the mineralized system at Vanha. Generative exploration programmes include till sampling and geophysical surveys. The company states the ongoing drilling programme is testing for further higher-grade mineralization and strike extensions of the system.
