Gold Terra Resource Corp. Expands Fall Drilling to Three Rigs at Con Mine Property

Gold Terra has expanded its Fall drilling to three rigs at the Con Mine property in Yellowknife, targeting new zones ahead of a 2026 PEA.
- Two additional drill rigs have joined the Fall programme, bringing the total to three rigs active on the Con Mine Option (CMO) property.
- Drilling is underway on three targets: Zone 103N, the historical Con Mine tailings storage facility, and the Yellorex deposit.
- A sonic drill programme of approximately 7,000 metres has started on the historical tailings storage facility.
- The first two Zone 103N holes have intersected the Campbell Shear, including a section containing visible gold; assay results are pending.
- The company has allocated approximately C$7.2 million to the current drill programmes, supported by a recently closed C$10.1 million financing.
Gold Terra Resource Corp. (TSXV:YGT) is a Canada-based gold exploration company focused on the Yellowknife Project in the Northwest Territories. The company controls a land package of roughly 836 square kilometres around the City of Yellowknife, including ground along the Campbell Shear, a structure that has historically produced approximately 14 million ounces of gold, and the Con Mine Option property immediately south of the past producing Con Mine. The Con Mine and related structures produced 6.1 million ounces of gold between 1938 and 2003. Gold Terra states that its exploration programmes are aimed at testing known mineralised zones and additional targets across this historic gold camp.
Three-Rig Fall Drilling Program Expanded With Two Additional Rigs Targeting Zone 103N Twinning and Extension
Gold Terra's 2026 Fall drilling programme began in July and has grown to three active rigs on the CMO property, with two rigs added for this phase. The company states the aim is to add ounces ahead of an upcoming Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA), a study that estimates the potential economics of developing a project.
One diamond drill is currently focused on Zone 103N, a zone previously drilled and defined from underground workings. The first two holes, master hole GTCM26-061 and its northern wedge hole GTCM26-061a (a hole drilled off an existing hole to test a nearby target without starting from surface), both intersected the Campbell Shear. The wedge hole returned a 5.3 metre interval from 845.6 to 850.9 metres, including a narrow quartz vein containing visible gold along with trace amounts of other sulphide minerals. Assay results, which confirm gold grades through laboratory analysis, are pending for both holes.
Zone 103N already hosts a defined resource. According to the June 2026 technical report prepared by SLR, the zone contains an Underground Inferred Mineral Resource of 5,083,000 tonnes at an average grade of 3.64 grams per tonne gold, for 595,000 ounces of contained gold, using a cut off grade of 2.2 grams per tonne (the minimum grade considered economic to mine). Once the current wedge holes are complete, the rig is set to move along a 1.6 kilometre trend to test the zone further up and down dip.
Yellorex Near-Surface Drilling and Con Mine TSF Sonic Evaluation: 7,000-Metre Sonic Drill Program on Historical Con Mine Tailings Storage Facility Targeting Low-Grade Stockpile Potential for Early Restart
A second drilling front is focused on the historical Con Mine tailings storage facility (TSF), using sonic drilling, a method that vibrates the drill rod into the ground and suits loose, shallow material such as tailings. The programme began with one sonic drill, with a second possible, and is designed to cover approximately 7,000 metres on a 40 by 40 metre grid, with holes averaging 10 to 30 metres in depth. The goal stated by the company is to define a Mineral Resource Estimate on the historical tailings, which date from operations between 1938 and 2003.
Chairman and CEO Gerald Panneton commented,
"We have started a very focused Fall drilling program with the objective of delineating additional ounces. The start of the sonic drilling on the historical Tailing Storage Facility (TSF) may be very positive for the future restart of the operation as the tailing residue from the past operation (1938-2003), has the potential to add ounces to our recent June 2026 Technical Report initial MRE. The benefits of these ounces translate into a potential low-grade stockpile that can be easily accessible in the early days of the potential future restart."
A third rig has been mobilised at the Yellorex deposit for a shorter, approximately 3,000 metre infill drilling programme on the upper part of the deposit, which includes metallurgical test work. The programme is intended to complete drilling in an area that could not be accessed during the past winter season.
Multi-Target Campaign Designed to Delineate Additional Ounces Supporting Year-End 2026 PEA Completion
Gold Terra recently closed a financing of approximately C$10.1 million. The company states it is allocating roughly C$7.2 million of this to its ongoing Fall drill programmes across Zone 103N, the historical tailings, and the Yellorex and metallurgical work.
A PEA is typically one of the earlier economic studies in a mining project's development path, giving an early indication of whether a resource could be mined profitably before more detailed engineering and feasibility work follows. Gold Terra's current drilling across three separate target areas is directed toward adding ounces into that assessment.
The technical information in the release was reviewed by Joseph Campbell, a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101 and the company's Senior Technical Advisor.
Milestones and Next Steps
Assay results remain pending for the initial Zone 103N holes, with two further wedge holes planned before the rig steps out along the 1.6 kilometre trend. The tailings sonic programme continues toward its 7,000 metre target, and the Yellorex infill and metallurgical programme continues on the upper part of the deposit. Results from these programmes are intended to feed into Gold Terra's planned PEA for the Con Mine project.
