Mineros Enters Junior Gold Miners Indexes & FTSE Small Cap Segment
Mineros joins the MVIS and Solactive junior gold miners indexes and the FTSE Small Cap segment on September 21, 2026, with a TEVAICOL ETF addition anticipated.
Mineros has been added to 3 equity indexes and anticipates a fourth addition, to a Colombian exchange-traded fund (ETF). The company joins the MVIS Global Junior Gold Miners Index, the Solactive Junior Gold Miners Custom Factors Index, and the Small Cap segment of the FTSE Global Equity Index Series. The first two are the benchmarks behind the VanEck Junior Gold Miners ETF and the Sprott Junior Gold Miners ETF. The 3 confirmed changes will be implemented at the close of trading on September 18, 2026, and effective from the open on September 21, 2026. The fourth, to the recently launched TEVAICOL ETF, is anticipated.
Company Overview
Mineros (TSX: MSA | BVC: MINEROS | OTCQX: MNSAF) is a Latin American gold mining company headquartered in Medellín, Colombia. The company operates a diversified portfolio of assets in Colombia and Nicaragua and maintains a pipeline of development and exploration projects across the region, including the Porvenir polymetallic project within the Hemco Property in Nicaragua, the La Pepa Project in Chile, and an exploration project in the Tolima department near Cajamarca, Colombia. Mineros has more than 50 years of operating history.
Three Index Additions Confirmed
All 3 additions follow scheduled index reviews. Mineros joins the MVIS Global Junior Gold Miners Index under that index's semi-annual review and quarterly rebalancing, and it joins the Solactive Junior Gold Miners Custom Factors Index and the Small Cap segment of the FTSE Global Equity Index Series under each of their semi-annual reviews.
President and Chief Executive Officer of Mineros, Daniel Henao, links the additions to the company's operating and balance sheet work:
"Inclusion in industry indexes validates all of our team's hard work to improve Mineros' operations and strengthen our balance sheet. These additions will broaden our shareholder base by increasing access to institutional capital and enhance trading liquidity. More broadly, they reflect the progress we have made on our producing assets and the near-term value creation opportunity represented by our growth portfolio."
Two of the 3 indexes are the benchmarks behind exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The MVIS Global Junior Gold Miners Index is the underlying index of the VanEck Junior Gold Miners ETF, and the Solactive Junior Gold Miners Custom Factors Index is the underlying index of the Sprott Junior Gold Miners ETF.
Colombian ETF Addition Anticipated
A fourth addition, to a Colombian ETF, is anticipated. The TEVA Colombia Equity Index was recently created as the underlying benchmark for TEVAICOL, the first locally managed Colombian equity ETF, which launched on the Colombian Stock Exchange on September 10, 2026. Mineros anticipates addition to the TEVAICOL ETF, and that addition is expected to provide demand for Mineros common shares.
Next Steps
The 3 index changes will be implemented at the close of trading on September 18, 2026, and effective from the open on September 21, 2026.
