Mineros Ranks First for Reputation, Third Overall in Colombian Mining

Mineros placed first for reputation among Colombia's gold companies and third in the sector's overall ranking in Brújula Minera 2026.

Mineros placed first among gold companies in Colombia's mining reputation ranking and third in the sector's overall ranking in the 2026 edition of Brújula Minera. The company also moved up to third place in the evaluation carried out by sector executives and from eighth to third place in the industry workers category. The results were presented during the National Mining Congress organized by the Colombian Mining Association.

Company Overview

Mineros (TSX: MSA | BVC: MINEROS | OTCQX: MNSAF) is a Latin American gold mining company headquartered in Medellín, Colombia. The company operates a diversified portfolio of assets in Colombia and Nicaragua and maintains a pipeline of development and exploration projects across the region, including the Porvenir polymetallic project within the Hemco Property in Nicaragua, the La Pepa Project in Chile, and an exploration project in the Tolima department near Cajamarca, Colombia. Mineros has more than 50 years of operating history.

Where Mineros Placed in the 2026 Ranking

Mineros took the top position among gold companies in the country's reputation ranking and third position in the sector's overall ranking. That overall ranking draws on ratings from 4 groups: company executives, government authorities, industry workers, and public opinion in both mining and non-mining municipalities. The results were presented during the National Mining Congress organized by the Colombian Mining Association.

Chief Executive Officer of Mineros, Daniel Henao, ties the placement to the company's own workforce:

"Being recognized as the leading gold mining company in reputation validates the talent of our people and the strength of our business vision. At Mineros, we understand that trust is built through actions. This result in Brújula Minera 2026 drives us to keep transforming the industry, building operations that coexist harmoniously with the environment and generate real prosperity in the territories where we operate."

Among sector executives, the company climbed to third place for its management and good practices. Among industry workers, it moved from eighth to third place.

What the Study Found About Colombian Attitudes to Mining

The broader study behind the ranking was conducted by Jaime Arteaga & Asociados and the Centro Nacional de Consultoría, and it measured public and institutional views of the industry, as well as company placements. Among Colombians surveyed, 70% recognize the country's mining tradition, 71% acknowledge the need for its products in daily life, and 86% support its harmonious coexistence with activities such as tourism and agriculture.

Institutional trust rose in 2026. Government authorities endorsing companies' environmental commitment reached 53%, 5 percentage points more than in 2025, and nearly 7 in 10 regulatory and oversight officials recognize companies' respect for human rights.

Next Steps

Mineros treats these results as reinforcement for its institutional strategy and for its stated purpose of generating well-being in the communities where it operates.
