(TSXV: SASK | FRA: X5U | OTCQX: SASKF) has extended its RIB North discovery from 300 meters of continuity to 1.45 kilometers, and all 7 holes in the latest batch intersected uranium mineralization. The results released are radiometric readings, not assays. That is the tension in this result. The results were reported on September 8, 2026, from 7 additional diamond drill holes at RIB North, part of the 2026 exploration program at the 100%-owned Angilak Uranium Project in Nunavut.
1. Continuity Extended from 300 Meters to 1.45 Kilometers, & the System Is Still Open
A 300-meter discovery is now 1.45 kilometers long, with neither end closed off. The September step-outs, combined with the 2025 discovery drilling and the first eight holes of 2026, have traced continuity over 1.45 kilometers along the primary RIB North structural corridor, on the eastern limb of the Mineralized RIB Corridor. Drilling focuses on widely spaced step-outs, and the release states that the discovery remains open in all directions.
Continuity of mineralization is not the same as continuity of grade. The intervals are composite: the totals sum multiple discrete zones across a much longer downhole run, rather than a single continuous band of mineralized rock. The 1.45 kilometers establishes that the mineralizing system persists along the corridor, not the tonnage or grade within it.
2. The Highlighted Hole Cut 20 Meters of Composite Mineralization
The highlighted hole returned 20 meters of composite uranium mineralization over 15 zones, including 1.3 meters of high-grade. The step-out, approximately 250 meters northeast of the 2025 discovery hole, intersected 20 meters of total composite uranium mineralization from 494 meters to 700.5 meters downhole. Its highest-grade interval returned 1.5 meters, averaging 8,453 counts per second (CPS) and peaking at 26,680 CPS, with over 0.6 meters of high-grade material.
Two further step-outs extended the corridor in both directions. A hole approximately 370 meters northeast cut 13 meters over 5 zones, its widest interval 4 meters, averaging 1,013 CPS. A hole approximately 430 meters southwest returned 7 meters across 6 zones, with its highest-grade interval measuring 1.5 meters, averaging 4,275 CPS and peaking at 20,138 CPS. Mineralization is present at wide spacing in both directions, but not uniformly: composite totals across the three holes were 7.0, 13.0, and 20.0 meters.
3. A Second Horizon Has Been Confirmed on the Western Limb
Mineralization occurs across two distinct horizons, altering the target's geometry rather than just its length. Most drilling has followed the eastern limb. A secondary horizon on the western limb was followed up with a step-out approximately 220 meters southwest. That hole returned 3 meters of composite uranium mineralization across 4 zones, with the widest interval at 1 meter, averaging 718 CPS and reaching a maximum of 1,407 CPS. The western limb has now been traced over approximately 220 meters of strike.
The 1,407 CPS peak compares to 26,680 CPS in the strongest eastern limb hole, and 220 meters of strike to 1.45 kilometers. What matters is not the size of this intercept but confirmation that the corridor hosts more than one mineralized structure. Mineralization on both horizons is basement-hosted and structurally controlled, associated with strong albite and hematite alteration, graphitic and sulfide-bearing structures, and overprinting silicification.
4. Every Hole in This Batch Hit
All 7 holes intersected uranium mineralization, following a 100% hit rate reported across all holes drilled during the 2025 program. The 2025 program identified 4 discoveries across the Mineralized RIB Corridor, RIB North, East, West, and South, spanning a 12-kilometer strike, with a 100% hit rate on all holes drilled that year.
The company states the follow-up results demonstrate its geological model and understanding of the controls on mineralization at RIB are proving accurate. A hit rate measures the reliability of that model, not the economics of the rock encountered, and the release makes no claim about the latter.
5. The Reporting Threshold Has Changed
ATHA lowered its cutoff from above 500 counts per second to above 300, affecting how these intervals compare to earlier releases. Based on assay results from 2024 and 2025, the threshold was lowered to above 300 CPS, on the basis that results above that level typically return grades above 0.01% uranium oxide. ATHA states a 500 CPS cutoff, and the September 8, 2026 release states 300 CPS, so the two are based on different assumptions.
Two further constraints apply to every number here. High-grade means any interval above 10,000 CPS on the downhole gamma probe, a radiometric measure rather than an assayed grade. Intercepts are reported as core width, so true width may be narrower than the meters quoted.
6. RIB North Is One Segment of a Larger Corridor System
The Mineralized RIB Corridor runs 18 kilometers and was discovered during the 2025 program. It forms part of a 31-kilometer RIB-Nine Iron trend in the Angikuni Basin that the company describes as having district-scale potential, alongside the 21-kilometer Lac 50 Deposit Corridor and the 14-kilometer KU-Nine Iron Corridor, where grades have reached 1.56% uranium oxide.
The one published assayed grade at RIB North comes from the 2025 maiden hole, which the release states intersected 34.7 meters of composite uranium mineralization with grades up to 8.16% uranium oxide over 0.5 meters. Across 2024 and 2025, ATHA completed 48 diamond drill holes totaling more than 20,000 meters across a trend containing 3 mineralized corridors. Most of the ground carries no drill data to value, and none to rule it out.
7. Lac 50 Is the Other Half of the Asset, & It Is Barely Drilled
Lac 50 carries a conceptual exploration target of 60.8 to 98.2 million pounds at 0.37% to 0.48% uranium oxide, with about 24% of its 21-kilometer corridor drill-tested.
The corridor hosts what the company describes as one of the largest high-grade uranium deposits in Canada outside the Athabasca Basin. It remains open along strike and at depth. A 2026 discovery at Lac 50 Northwest returned 11.5 meters of composite uranium mineralization, including 1.6 meters of near-continuous high-grade, 4 kilometers along strike from the deposit area.
There has been insufficient exploration to define a mineral resource, and it is uncertain whether further work will convert the target into one. That distinction is central to valuing the asset: a conceptual target is a drilling hypothesis, not a countable inventory.
8. The Balance Sheet & Valuation Set the Terms
As of August 26, 2026, the company had 353.5 million basic shares outstanding, a share price of C$1.29, a market capitalization of C$456.0 million, and an enterprise value of C$428.8 million, along with 29.0 million options, 3.5 million restricted share units, and 18.1 million warrants. Its milestone chart records a $63 million strategic financing in 2026. The release describes the 2026 program as the company's largest diamond drilling program to date, running three drills from May 1, 2026 through the end of September.
That sits above the exploration peer group, where the 6 comparable companies were valued between C$84 million and C$217 million on the same date. The company reports its land position at 6.7 million acres, while the recent release states it is more than 6 million acres.
